Okay. First off…

Why/when did you decide to get away from your hardcore roots, and make pop music?

Last January I started writing acoustic music. And quickly realized I was much better at it than I was at writing hardcore music. So I decided to go this route.

Besides playing guitar for ROAR, are you in any other bands?

I am not :)

If you had to name your daughter either Noah, Leon, or Luci (short for Lucifer), what would you name her?

Luci i guess, it’s more feminine :P

Since Boomtown Days, have you felt any different about your career choice? Like, do you feel more confident or excited about what the future has in store?

Definately. Since that show, my MySpace has picked up as well as my Facebook & weekly Stickam shows. It’s really exciting. :)

What are your goals as an artist?
Do you feel like they are very realistic or more like a dream?

At this point, i think my dreams are becoming a reality.
I hope to be signed to a major label by this time next year

I definitely can see that happening.
Will you settle for any major labels, or do you have your heart set on certain ones?

All just depends on who treats me best and who gives me the best deal.
I’m shooting for Universal Republic though

Hypothetically you are in a very successful tribute band and all you play is covers of the one original artist/band. What artist would you see yourself being a tribute band for?

Alright I have just a few more questions.

What inspires your lyrics?
Do you have any “rituals” or something you always do when you’re trying to write a song?

I get my lyrics from personal events, or just emotions I believe everyone feels, or will feel, or has felt. I try to write really relatable songs.
Rituals? Nope! Some days I write for hours and nothing comes out.Then the next day I grab the guitar and instantly a catchy song comes out.

 You said sometimes you grab the guitar and a catchy song comes out…So do you usually make up songs while playing guitar, or do you just write lyrics and put the music to it later?

I usually do both at the same time.  I just mess around with chords til a melody pops up. Usually one line will randomly come out that’s really catchy, then I go from there. :) 

Well it sounds like you’re aiming for your music to be catchy!
Are all the songs on the new album going to have a catchy vibe to it?

Veryyy! All of them but The Meaning of Love. it’s the love ballad of the album. but I plan on eventually rewriting that one if i get signed, make it a bit more catchy.
